Kind of an unusual title, don't you think?
Many years ago I developed a desire to create albums for each one of my children that contained mine and their dad's lives before we were married, and family life, before they were born.
That's kind of a tall order when you have as many children as I do, but I've never been known to lack ambition; and I've done a bit of the prep work, for my growing-up years, anyway, so I'm now ready to put the plan into action.

This is the month I'm going to start putting together an album of me, from birth until I married in 1987. It will be the prototype for all the others, the one in which I work out some of the nitty gritty things like size, style (should it be SMASH, PL or traditional ~ 12x12, or 8x8, or some other size altogether? Knowing me, maybe a mix of any/all of the above!), and consider how to add some personal touches that represent me, work with the pictures, and sync with each child, such as colors and style of embellishments.
I'm going to scan the photo shown above, as well as the folio flap where my birth details are given, and make those the first entry in the memory journal. The details are written in my mothers hand, a very special momento in itself, and will make for a nice 'journaling card' in this album.
Whew! Have I given myself a monumental task? Maybe, but if nothing else, as I put this project together, I will have a chance to share with my children all the memories I'm recording as I do so.
Priceless, don't you think?
